Choosing The Right Clients

When starting a business you can get trapped into just doing any work that comes your way.
It's likely though, if you started on your own you are already amazing at certain things.
So - don't just go for anything!
Choose wisely!
How:

  1. List all of the kinds of work you have a VISION your business will do - that is, that you started it for and the work you WANT
  2. SCREEN all the calls you get by asking good questions - get good at saying 'no thanks' to work you don't want
  3. Charge the right price - if you charge too cheap you will get cheap clients and nobody wants that
  4. You will get more of what you do - if you do things you don't want to do, the clients will refer you to their friends for more of it - so again
  5. SAY NO - there is plenty of work out there, you will not starve, so be picky!

Some Screening Questions:

  1. Location?
  2. What is your expected investment for this job/project? ($)
  3. What is your expected timeframe for works to commence & be completed by?
  4. Share your payment terms & gage their response & if they are willing to adhere
